New Soliloquium music on the horizon, so why not another Q&A now that we have something to discuss? I’m also video-answering these on my Instagram.

Soliloquium Q&A questions
Will there be more singles?
Yes, you won’t have to wait to long for more music.
Where was the lyric video filmed?
Issyk-Kul Lake in Kyrgyzstan. Beautiful location. People guessed Italy and several other places but that was definitely not it.
Will you sell albums on Bandcamp?
Not this time, since I’m not living in one solid place. You can order the physical albums through my record label Meuse Music Records though. And if you want to support me you can pre-order the digital album on Bandcamp.
What was the inspiration for the music video?
I just wanted to make something more special than a usual lyric video. I hope my presence and performance conveys some of the song’s emotion.
What were your musical influences for this song/album?
I’m really all over the place these days, but for “Time Stands Still” it’s definitely leaning blackgaze/shoegaze in terms of chords and melody. Several people said Katatonia for this one, and that’s definitely not it.
Will there be merch?
Maybe! Not the kind of merch you would expect though. I guess stay tuned!
Why this song as a single?
My producer Jari Lindholm actually suggested it at first. It’s the most direct song on the album, with an upper tempo and clear hooks. I actually wouldn’t consider it one of my favorites, but apparently people seem to dig it, so it was probably the right choice.
Aren’t you traveling?/How do you organize recording/writing while on the road?
Yes, I’m traveling since December last year. I’m not able to record, but I’ve been jamming some stuff here and there when I’ve had access to guitars. “Upheaval” was written and recorded way before I left. Most of it was actually written when “Famine” was released.
Great song. Very Soliloquium! Is this one of the fastest songs on the album? I liked the pace of your last album.
Thank you! Yes, this one of the more up-tempo and direct songs.
